March news from the Garden

We’re finally having a lovely day in West Cornwall. Richard has taken this photo of the Magnolia campbelli subsp. mollicomata Lanarth Seedling just starting to come into bloom. It has certainly been an interesting season weather wise this winter, hopefully today is a sign of better things to come. Richard has also made his first video, this one featuring the shrub Ribes sanguineum ‘Tydemans White’, you can view the video here. Now fully getting into Richard Attenborough mode, here is Richards second video from the garden featuring the Gunnera manicata beside the pond (Giant Rhubarb) which look absolutely fabulous when fully grown each year.

Nicola Osborne and her team have been busy in the kitchen selling their lovely light lunches, cakes and cream teas. To celebrate them joining us at Trewidden, Nicola is offering 20% off all cream teas upon presentation of a voucher which can be printed off from our facebook page. Just present this to the lovely ladies (and Will) in the tearoom. But hurry, only valid until the 20th March 2016.
