We are very keen to encourage children to enjoy the gardens, and are delighted to announce that we now run days geared especially for school children. Classes initially tour the garden with Richard, who picks out the features that most appeal to children.
This is followed by a planting session so children take away a seed in a pot planted by themselves, which makes an ideal start for a school project.
Teachers are also very welcome to run their own activities in the garden on the same day. Entrance is free with a ￡1 per seed and pot charge if planting is carried out.
We will be announcing more activities and competitions for schools in 2013.
